How similer is the new Coyote motor to the old Pony power plant? other than its a 5.0 liter.
Can we expect to see the ability to put the Coyote under the hood of an old pony with little fabrication to the engine bay?
I think it is eventually going to be a popular swap. The new 5.0 is no where near being the same. It is superior IMO in every way. I mean the fox had 225 stock and the new coyote has 412....no brainer for me. I have a really good friend of mine that has a new 5.0 with a 100 shot of gas a tune and some slicks and is running in the 10's in a full weight car......Think of what it takes to go that fast in an old 5.0
400hp makes a fox run 11.00's. going to be a nasty combo. cant wait to see it.
The cost is just wayyyyy to much for that power plant right now. Give it a few years and every fox will have one. lol
im sure there will be a few wrecked 2011's showing up soon. theres a tool in every bunch.
Well i dont own a Fox, does that make a difference? Because i want to look at droping it in to my 94 SN-95
You will have to change your K-member and figure out what tranny you are going to run......and lots of little things from exhaust to the wiring harness....
You can buy the wiring harness right from ford racing. It is actually a good package price for the 400 hp you get. If I could sell my A4 block and all the parts I have to build a 331 stroker I would get one for the 95. By the way all the parts for the stroker are brand new in the box if anyone is interested.
