First I'll say that I must be the only retard that take 3 hours to grind a 3.5" hole into a 4" hole....yeah it felt like an all day affair. I used a combination of dremel grinding tool and a compressor 25k rpm grinding tool. I suck, I can't beleive it took that long.
So; with the hole complete, I test-fitted my anderson powerpipe- it's ready to roll now!
I'm grinding away any surface rust from the frame (specifically where the battery used to be)
I've also treated it with rust treatment (primer & paint to follow)
Pick is from the backside/inner fender where the frame had a bit of surface rust, even though you can't see it normally, i can't just ignore it!
I've treated the channels with rust treatment, primer and a rust protection top coat ...including the underside of the sheetmetal to help prevent rusting out. I re-ground the contact points for a sure bond with the jbweld-stick
Using jb stick I permentatly mounted the channel-cover sheet metal; now making a flush transition of the inner fenders to the frame. Next time I'll have to grind away the excess jb weld.
