clutch or trans problem?

did a t-5 swap all new parts clutch won't disengage tried adjusting cable no help also tried a different clutch still same problem tried a different cable but still not disengaging seems that friction disc isn't sliding back away from flywheel almost looks like inputshaft and bearing retainer may be going in to far so that there isn't enough room for disc to come back bellhousing is correct and t-5 is out of foxbody everyone i talk to doesn't understand what the problem is has anyone had this kind of problem can anyone give me a measurement of input shaft distance from the bearing retainer mine measures two and half inches it seems that its two and half inches to pressure plate from back of bellhousing?

pilot bearing was installed it took most of the summer to gather up most of the parts wanted to make sure i had everything and tried to make sure i bought quality parts some a little better than what i needed thanks for the info.
