After getting home from carlisle, I was able to untape the paint job and have a look.
We have tomorrow off work, so I'll be posting a few updates tomorrow as we try to tie up some loose ends before dropping in the engine and tranny this weekend. J's helping me out so hopefully we can whip this up quick.
There is a little orange peal...but I think it's unavoidable if getting it painted in a home garage (lower pressure has to be used)
*I preserved my original 2.3 l belt config sticker
too bad it will be covered by the radiator cover
Block painted today
Headers were black originally, but starting to look rusty;
I shot them with header paint from jegs- hopefully it lasts longer
My chrome dipstick tube has finally been installed
(It was laying around for years)
I had to grind away the chrome near the base to get it to seat all the way.
New Pretty coil mounted
I also ran the positive battery from the hatch to the fender, I'm so glad that's over (what a pita)
