As you can see, this don't look like a 5.0 EFI. The car was converted to 5.8 a year after I bought it. This is my 351w. The block is bored .030, and torque plate honed, and has been decked and squared. The pistons are Probe forged 8.5 comp. The cam is a Lunati Voodoo .522/.538. The heads are Edelbrock Performers(2.02/1.60). The intkae is an Edel. Air Gap with a 750 Holley. The ignition consists of an MSD 6A box and coil, with a stock dist., Motorsport wires, and Autolite platinum plugs.
April 2008
Sorry about the lack of quality here. I did a quick detail on the engine. It was getting dark, so I had to use a flash, which made everything look more gray than black. Again, I know the quality of these is poor. Bear with me. I will get better ones when the car is out for the summer.
Notice the Redline Tuning Hood lifts here.
August 2008
I finally put this back together. I didn't get te headers on, but I didn't like the look of the engine compartment without the brace. I had the underside of the hood finished, but before putting it on I had to change air cleaners. The old one was too big and was scratching the back of the hood. I picked up a Motorsport air cleaner, which was small enough to do the job. Now I need another Pony wing nut (the other one stripped out on me) and a K & N filter. I was also able to get the stainless hinge plates and firewall plate on. I, also relocated the vaccum block and a couple other things.
