The Grande was a luxury model of the Mustang from 1969 to 1973. They only came with V8's. All V8's were available with the exception of the Boss 302, Boss 429, Boss 351 and Ram Air. Most were highly optioned. This car is the exception rather than the rule. The only options on this car are the AM radio (now a AM/FM factory unit), full vinyl roof, and 428CJ - no power steering, no power brakes, and 4 wheel drums! These cars came with no external engine call outs. The only clues to what lurks under the hood are the dual exhausts tucked behind the rear valence and the big block rumble- although most people today have know idea what the sound is- just another old car. It is quiet and dose not have a big cam lope. This car is mostly stock. It is 0.030 over and has a cam simular to the factory CJ cam. The original 3.25 open has been replaced with a trak-loc 3.50. Not quite a drag strip terror, but still cruises down the interstate.
A sight only seen in 50 Grandes from the factory.
