Not sure myself but since you flicked the key switch and things worked ok and the switch does activate the ignition circuit I would think about changing the switch for starters. Also check all your grounds to make sure nothing is loose. Where is thunderbolt when you need him .. LOL

I have changed all the wiring associated with the steering column and no change but its so intermittent i cant track it down so that why I made a video to show around. all the starter wires (including ground) has been upgraded to new and bigger gauge.
no, key switch is the same and after reading your post again i get what ya said...doesn't it seem kinda odd that it may or may not work the first time, but just flick the switch and it corrects EVERY single time? I tend to think that even flicking would not correct it occasionally if it was the key switch but i dont know for sure.... pisses me off to no end though I do know that!!!
