I have reason to believe this car was once a rental with its past history, and rare interior color. From my sources, apparently red interior could be ordered, but only by fleet dealerships or renter companies. Renter companies were the dominant orderers because the '94 Mustang was a hotter body style than the other cars, so you could get more money out of people renting a Mustang, and red interior was cheaper to order with red on red or white on red.
More info on this rare interior... In '94 the 'bright red' interior could only come with 4 different exterior colored stangs: Rio Red, Black, Opal Frost, and Crystal White. Since '98 I've been looking at other stangs in search of this color. Not including me, or what I find online, so far, out of all of those years, I've only seen 6.
I have had this car since I was 16 (1998) and to this day, still drive it daily.
