BABE'S LX - 1987 MUSTANG HATCH
Phase I of Babe's LX econo-mod is done. Cost of Babe's LX - Econo-mod project so far - less than $15,000CDN (about $3,000US) including the vehicle cost. Guess you can't really call it econo any more - at least, my wife wouldn't! Please remember that when you challenge me to a Face-Off
A little rough around the edges but she goes! Especially to the gas station.
Phase I Completed (done spring of 2006)
GT-Seats Installed
Autoguage Tach with Shift Light
Plus:
- B&M Launch Control (intalled but not working)
- Upgraded to LSD on 8.8 rear end - has stock 3.73s
- Installed new high-output oil pump
- New factory valve cover gaskets
Phase II (done - April 2007)
- oil presssure guage (works fine now the oil pump is new)
- installed 3-piece projector/euro headlights - all the better to see you with
- new paint (same Acura NSX Red) done in May - replaced both door skins and hatch, complete weather stripping kit plus a GT spoiler (more pics on page 1)

Phase III, IV ?
- get the car on a Dyno Dynamics unit for some RWHP numbers
- dual black/silver stripes front to back?
- Mach 1 hood - with some breathing holes for that big Edelbrock
- 2.3 L with turbo(s) ($$$) or just turbo the 5.0
