I recently sold this stang to a friend of mine and got this Lightning.
My second stang, an '88 coupe. I just got this car on 7 Feb for my daily driver. I am the 3rd owner and the notch has 81,000 miles on it. It is a 2.3l, 5 speed. Until I finish my '91 I do not plan on many mods for this stang. I will mostly do restoration and maintenance. The crystal ball sees either a turbo for he 2.3L, a V-8 conversion with a 5.8 or maybe a 5.0, supercharged to match the GT. Let me know what you think.
A few of the undercarriage. Not too bad for 19 years. Most of it is pretty clean as you can see from the front drivers side behind the wheel shot above. There is quite a bit of oil from the leaking valve cover. Once it is fixed it will be pressure washer time.
The notch has chrome ponies, cold air intake, window tint, and a sony explod cd player. I should have more on the site this weekend.
The notch is really in decent shape for a 19 year old car. Check out he original shifter. This is gonna have to go sometime. I have a pro 5.0 in my GT and what a difference it makes.
Put a new Barry Grant Challenger series steering wheel in as the original one's padding was loose. I also found some better looking seat covers and the GT donated it's old floor mats to the cause also.
The rear seat is in great shape, just ugly porno red. Took some time but I found anice plain and inexpensive black seat cover for the rear. A great improvement I think.
Gotta love chrome ponies.
New pictures after the first clean up. Restored headlights below.
If you haven't already please stop by my other site and check out my '91 GT.
Thanks for stopping by.
