I would say that the exhaust is pretty important to me, its so important that it took me a couple of times to get it right.  I first started out with the pypes off road v6 conversion kit, it came with the x pipe and the pro street mufflers.  Lets just say I had it on for about 3 days, It sounded very ricey after 3000 rpm's.  So I took out the x pipe, put the stock cats back in, and had a custom h pipe fabricated and welded to the cats.  About 3 months later I replaced the pypes pro street mufflers with Flowmaster original 40's.  In my opinion the flow's sound way better.  Not bad for a v6 anyway.
