With only spending $200 of my $2050 insurance check I decided to use the rest on paint work since mine was junk. I was able to talk a friend down to $2000 for paint, and body work. I decided that if I was going to spend the $2000 on paint im going to do it right, I ordered a Cobra front bumper and fog lights. I still had the Cobra rear bumper from the parts car so I swapped that also. After having the car painted I decided that I wanted the black lower valance on the rear bumper like the 96-98 Gt's had, so I had him paint that also. After looking at the car sitting on the ground I realized that the rims were really hurting the appearance, so I had my paint guy paint the centers Phantom Black. While he had the rims I was able to sand down the calipers and paint them with a High Heat Metallic Silver really close to the body color. The car looks really nice now that its back from paint. There is only a couple things on the car that distinguish it from being a real Cobra. One is the VIN number and the other is the driver side airbag that has the running horse not the COBRA text.
