The Engine
In the beginning it was just going to be a couple bolt-ons, or at least that's what we tell ourselves. Over time plans change and so do the available options. Originally the 4.6 was enhanced with a set of BBK headers, a C&L Intake, a 93 octane tune from Brenspeed and Steeda underdrive pullies and looked pretty much how it did in the picture below...
As i said, things change. Since then it has gone through two turbo kits. Well, one just sat in a box and never got installed, the other was installed Jan 30th 2008 by Fastlane! That's right, old project "Pony Up" or cheesewiz as it's so fondly referred to by the mechanics is now pushing close to 500 turbo charged ponies from a Fastlane Turbo2 twin turbo kit and it's awesome!
Please click on the picture for the large images. I really love this kit. It's pushing as much horsepower as a whipple charged mustang at 13#s of boost while just running 9#s plus all the torque is in the higher RPM (3500+), where I would be shifting. I can't tell you how happy I am with this kit and so glad i did not install the Hellion turbo.
