	1112 Views I KNOW THAT THE 5.0 IS A LEGENDARY MOTOR WHEN IT COMES TO MUSTANGS, BUT LATELY I'VE NOTICED A LOT MORE 4.6'S GETTING PUT IN THE PLACE OF THE 5.0'S. SO ITS GOT ME THINKING ABOUT SWAPING MY 94 GT'S 302 FOR A 4.6 LITER MOTOR, I KNOW THERES A LOT OF DIFFERENCE FELT ABOUT THIS, BUT AFTER ME PUTTING MY 94 AGAINST MY 97 I KINDA LIKE THE PERFORMANCE ASPECT OF THE 4.6. SO I'M STUCK BETWEEN A ROCK AND A HARD PLACE, I DON'T KNOW TO TAKE MY 302 AND STROKE IT OUT TO A 306, 331, OR A 347, OR JUST UP AND SWAP IT FOR A 4.6 SOHC OR DOHC SO IF YA WOULD LET ME KNOW WHAT YA THINK WOULD BE THE BEST IDEA.

“” 331 or 347 either one. 347 feels stronger on the bottom, Not much difference at the finish though. That is assuming they have the same heads cam and intake,compression,ect. I got my 331 shortblock from my brother who just swapped it for a 347. He ran pretty much the same times,with both.
