I opened up a can of worms

Here are some pics of what I did today, and yesterday, and then the next day.  I have paintd and dyed fox body interior parts all over the dining room table.  I still have to do the side moldings next to the back seat, dye the carpet, and build my door panels.  It was hot as hell here today in VA Beach.  So hopfully Wednesday is cooler, and I can get things put back together.  I am not looking forward to try and figure out what screw goes where.  I am not very orginized when it comes to this stuff.  I have some detail work to take care of as well Over spray to be exact.  I had to drive the car about 500 feet in the condition it is in now and it was quite tricky to hold up the gauge piller and drive and work the turn signals and what not.  I am also swaping out the glow gauges in the speedo for the originals I think the white will clash once I get everything together.  I have decided to go with just black for now with out any yellow trim peices.

It will be worth it, it looks like you are doing well.  Something I do is take digital photos when I take something apart I have not done before so I know how to put it all back together.  Nice work so far.

Everything is pretty straight forward.  I have had all the peices off before, just not at the same time.  Oh well part of the fun.  I like a challenge.

the pics of the dash repianted black look very similar when i did that to my dash & console years ago. however, you plan to redo all the interior black so it will look much better than mine ever did black. i have since restored the dash to original smoke gray. looking good! keep up the good work & dont inhale too much paint fumes! or, inhale alot if thats your thing!

Well I got the cockpit back together and I am going to start on the door panels in the morning.  It is amazing how much it changes the look of the car by changing the color of the interior.  Honestly I think the best thing that I did was remove the glow gauges and put the originals back in.  I will post picks later on.

after having white faced gauges & replacing them with the black faced 87-88 Saleen guages cluster, i also like the black faced gauges more.

Just like a good bed, You cringe when have to through down big cash on a nice box spring and mat, but you spend most of your life on this one item.  Strange.
