My father worked for GE Aerospace asn an Aerospace engineer (yes, my dad WAS a rocket scientist!) and our family was very involved and informed regarding the Gemini and Apollo programs.  That being said let us be realistic about things.  The Russians were (and are) some of the greatest spies in the world and we were in competition with them.  If all we did was circle the globe for a few days and make a really cool Hollywood hoax movie does anyone think for one minute that the Russian would not have blown the lid off that story in a heartbeat???  Of course we landed on the moon and we will be back again!  And it is a shame that some people cannot accept the reality that is their world and all of the great accomplishments of mankind.  Oh, BTW, if the Russians had not made it shortly after us and faked the whole thing we would have blown that story side wide open too!!!

My Great Uncle was an electrical engineer for the Apollo program.  He had an actual moon rock sitting on his desk in his office at home and all the astronauts signed a N.A.S.A. portrait for him from Apollo 11.  LOL  I graduated from Apollo high school in Glendale Arizona.. and yes Mark, I have been to the moon a couple of times, but that is another blog altogether..  see (Wood, Weeds and Chipmunks)
