Thanks Tim. I was wondering about that. Would you buy it even though its a 6er? And if you did could you leave it that way?

I was talking about pulling off the bumpers and rims and such. The badging will come off and V6  badging will replace it. Im not sure about the price thing either. How much did a Saleen Cobra cost? I never even knew they existed until the other day.

19,000 for a Cobra powered very sharp looking car does not even come close to what they ask for a used up Cobra out here. Hell I have seen wrecked Cobras pull close to that. I could transfer the entire car inside and drive line for the 12 G price or maybe even get the moter and trans for under 10. I am not sure I would even want the IRS in this one or not. And just in case your still wondering YES I still dont agree with badging a car for what it is not. I in no way am a hipocrit. I am in fuggin Iraq. The damned 83 is giving the ole lady a hard time and is getting pretty unreliable and she needs something safer to get to work and I dont trust her driving it with my kids in it anymore. I came across this car for what I feel is a pretty damned good price and she likes it so I really honestly dont give a damn who likes it and who dont. Now Flame on. I suppose I could take the back bumper off just because it says Saleen and throw an ugly ass V-6 bumper back on it. If my plans go through this car would have more power than and Saleen that rolled off the assembly line any ways.

I might not agree with some of the take this off and take that off and get rid of those but thats the beauty of America....Everyones entitled to their own oppinions. Maybe its just that I miss tooling around on cars lol. It gives me a New reason to rip into another car lol. The flame suit on was to ensure I could take all the rediculing that I am sure will come with the car being a V-6. I will be taking the damned 281 plaque off as soon as I see it. It does not belong there. There really isnt much I can do about the bumper though. I like the looks too much to take it off. Like I said Tim I just dont know at this point. I guess we will see when I get home and actually see the damned thing. Biggest thing was keepin momma happy and she seems tickled pink.

the car looks awesome i love the black saleen replica wheels it goes with the silver..  the price seemed really reasonable as well.. if you gonna go with a cobra motor and tranny i say go for it..  if it was me i would leave the badges on and fool a lot of people and when you pop open the hood what would they might see a nice cobra motor.. just my .02
