Well, I ran into a deal I could not pass up. I have moved on from the '89 coupe project and bought an 85 roller with a roll bar and sub-frames already installed....

....Well I have been gone for a while but I am back. It is August 18th 2008 and this is what we have done to The 85 that my son has named Dixie...

The motor is a 429 that my Father in Law had in his Super Comp Dragster back in the day. It ran 8.70's in a 1300lb. Dragster. We are hoping for mid to low 10's. It will be a Bracket Brawler!!!

We have welded the axel tubes of the 8.8. We are running a 4.10 gear for now. Lakewood 90/10's up front. Comp Eng. 3way adjustable shocks in the rear. My father in law (Bob) fabed up a killer seat bracket for the Summit racing seat. The 429 will be mated to a powerglide tranny. We will be putting the re-enforced 8.8 in as soon as we get some good upper control arms cheap enough.
