Swap Update -Rusted bolts SUCK!

	729 Views 4/1/06 - Went to install the new water pump...easy right? WRONG.. not when all the f-ing bolts were rusted. 3 broke off, and we may have one which came out but the threads may not be stripped in that hole...not sure how we'll get out of this one....debating on a few options right now. Ok, some good news.. THE FIRST INSTALLED PART!!! VALVE COVERS...YAY CHECK OUT MY PAGE 2 FOR ALL THE SWAP UPDATES

“” Hey nic, you will have to take an extractor to the bolt that is busted off flush to the timming chain cover. I then would take a thread chaser to it and the rest of the threaded holes the bolts came out of to be safe. I would imagine your dad has one of the extractors that I speak of and it screws in counter clockwise and will bite into the bolt and will yard that bolt out.I would spay down that bolt and let it soak for a while to make the job easier...good luck,Joey.
