On Saturday April 26th 2008 I bought me a new toy.  I gave up on my 2005 Yamaha Roadstar 1700 Silverado since NO ONE was going to buy it after a year of trying.  I traded it in and got me a 2007 Yamaha R1 it had 0.5 miles on it when i bought it..and 2 miles after they charged the battery and took it for a test spin to make sure everything was ok on it.  it was a major change going to cruiser to crotch rocket...but I'm loving it.  I already have 450 miles on it..and now im just waiting for the clouds to clear so i can take it out some more.  150 miles left and it will get its first oil change then i can really start playin around with it.  ive kept it under 80 like i was told with the occasional sudden burst to 100+ after the 400 mile mark to get it properly broken in.  I always said I would never buy one of these bikes but I'm SOO happy with this bike.  The bike came fully loaded with everything needed.  No more mods required.  Has the full Graves Motorsports exhaust system which after researching i found pushes the bike up to 163.5HP and at only 390 pounds its much easier to get going and handle then my last 80+HP 750 pound cruiser.  If you have never ridden one of these sports bikes and you know someone with one...ask them to take you for a drive.  everyone who gets on mine for a ride has the largest smile on their face afterwards and many of them want their own now.  Enjoy the pics.
