Please!Road Trip time..  Now is the time for all good blog boggers(you all know who you are), hijinx hijackers(we ALL know who you are), and anybody else to jump in here and go crazy, get derailed(yeah I said it again Jerry) and stay off topic as much as possible.  Me and the dog are leaving on my most advertised(but nothing exciting) road trip.   Anything that happens from this point forward I am not responsible for.  I know there will be those who would talk behind my back, and that I welcome because I know where you live and I am retired so I have nothing but time to hunt you down and deal with you and yours accordingly.. I will be offline for the next two weeks so give me something good to read when I get back..  LMAO   The GW.

You're BustedLet's hear 'em..  Stories of near misses or actual high-speed chases you experienced when getting a speeding ticket.. racing a ricer and him getting busted, or just that stupid speedtrap or photoradar that cost you a fortune to get rid of off your record.   Every gear bangin' detail(I like to hear details).

Here in Arizona, they are HUGE on photoradar.  New ones going up all the time.  They give you warning of half mile and 300 feet, so they are mostly rush hour traffic regulators but they are also adding some along the interstates between major cities.  Those are the ones I have not seen yet as I commute from Phoenix to Albuquerque.  I got nailed taking the ex-step daughter(yes Jerry, the stripper with the airbags) to the airport last month by a new photoradar and the ticket cost me $185.00 to get rid of.  They allow approximately 10 mph over but I was doing 67 in a 55, and I thought we were still in the 65mph zone.. Yes I might have been a bit distracted but the picture they sent me in the mail shows me looking straight ahead so who knows. No points awarded to your record yet with a photoradar ticket but the cities are thinking of changing that here in the near future.  I have numerous stories of eluding the Popo when I used to ride a crotchrocket but that would take a book rather than a blog.  Give up your stories and use a.k.a.'s if you must, but tell 'em anyway.

Hijacking is totally allowed.  GTF/GLF endorsed.

Electrical FirestormThe GT failed emission test yesterday due to an intermittent service engine light.  Took it in and the tech said there was an electrical firestorm happening in the enigine bay from a bad alternator.  This was causing a "cam shaft position sensor" error.   Well, one thing led to another and the A/C clutch was bad and the compressor needed to be replaced and then the front brake rotors were down to 2% so THOSE needed to be replaced..  So now, I will be clean and green(as clean as a good ole AMERICAN GAS GUZZLER can be), and I'll be cool stopping on a dime.. Just out a whole bunch of $$.  I should have just traded it in on the GT500KR in glorious Grabber Blue paint that was sitting there... 12 mpg city and 20mpg highway.. I would have to fill up every 15 minutes!!  Gotta love it..

Moonlanding non-believersI just want to break away a second and say how disappointed I get when I hear a young 20 somethin' telling me that the moonlanding was all a hoax.  Some of the things that made this country what it is today are due largely to the men of the space administration.  All the mathemeticians, scientists, engineers, communications experts, electricians, theorists, janitors, and finally the Astronauts who strapped those rockets on their backs, gave this country the spirit to survive the 60's.  It absolutely happened and some of us were lucky enough to watch it happen.  The Mercury program, the Gemini program and the Apollo program were the truest test of mettle this country has ever faced.  ]]>GW269http://www.gotstang.com2009-07-21T10:43:46Z2009-07-21T10:43:46Zhttp://www.gotstang.com/blogs.php?blogid=3891New Shoes

Prices going up on everything, I am putting new tires on the GT and it sets me back $1,400.  Just replacing the Toyo Proxes T1R's, and they are now $260 a piece..  I think I need bailout assistance lol..
