Winter projects update

Can't find the old blog I was using to post progress on my projects, so here's a new one. It's been a while and here's what's been going on:

- The hood has been worked over for better fitment, and they fiberglassed the rear corners to extend it closer to the cowl to eliminate the gap. The hood, cowl cover, and front bumper have also been painted. The rear bumper had its little cracks fixed and it was repainted as well.

- Door jambs and recessed trunk channels are next as well as the scratch/chip work and full wet sanding

- Strut tower has been worked over more to allow clearance for the master cylinder. Body work began on the engine bay yesterday. Will be painted soon.

I finished the intake powder coating, polished the fittings, and put the chrome heater tubes back on:

I will also be adding these pieces, and the plastic motor cover that goes in the middle of it will be painted in a candy red to match the intake. The PS reservoir and visible refill area of the washer fluid reservoir will be done in this color as well.

Car show pics - Mustang Memories, Dearborn

My car club held their annual car show this past weekend, we had just shy of 800 registered Mustangs & Fords. As part of the show, we also hosted the Boss Reunion, IMBOC (Bullitt) Reunion, and Mustang Dream Giveaway. Vaughn Gittin, Jr. was also in attendance, as well as a bunch of other names from Ford. It was held at the Ford Headquarters in Dearborn, MI.

Anyway, here are some pics I snapped while handling my judging duties throughout the day. I didn't get the whole show, but a decent assortment

As many of you know I recently moved from the Northeast to suburban Detroit, and as such I've been exposed to - and enjoying - all sorts of new shows and events.

I've taken a ton of pictures throughout the year at all the shows I've gone to and entered, and thought I'd share them. I've got so many that I can't post them here, but you can view each show in thumbnail format:

Car Show Pics

One thing that's very different out here than I'm used to is the lack of heavy duty Fox Bodies and the popularity of non-Mustang Fords. Back in the NE a Mustang/Ford show would be 90% Mustangs, out here it is likely 70/30. There's also an endless amount of street rods & cruisers, which is always great to see.

Went to a car show at MI International Speedway last weekend, and our Mustang club got to run the track a few times. Some people were snapping pictures so I thought I'd share a few. The banks were 18 degrees which made pacing the track a pain in the ass. The higher speeds were more fun, and I'd really love to have been able to hit 100+.

My Mustang finally made its way to its new home the other day, after sitting tucked away at my parents' back in Massachusetts while I got all settled into my new house.

Scheduled the shipment on Friday, they picked up on Tuesday, and I had it on Thursday. Feels good now that it's in my garage again, and I can't wait to hit a new show scene out here in a few weeks.

Now that I live out here, my girl's dad & brother have an auto body/paint shop that does custom cars and restorations, so I'm thinking a fresh new paint job is eminent soon.

I keep many Fox Body parts in stock, either polished, powdercoated in chrome or both if possible. I can polish or powdercoat nearly everything else too. For coating, I can get you a better deal with better powders than any shop out there. PM/email me with requests/questions.

Only EXTREME CHROME powder is available for the great deals, other colors can be done but I don't do them in bulk so I can't extend as much a bargain to you...
