Not a Stang but from SVT, new toy

I sold my 88 notch a while back to fellow GS'r 9296GT who is making it a racer so today I picked up a 2001 SVT Lightning. This puppy launches hard and is as much fun to drive as the Stang! I'll add a page for it soon to my site.

A bit out of the box

Well I finally finished with this years projects Sunday night. With the new intake taking up more space I tried something a bit different with the nitrous mounting, right on top of the intake. Here are a couple of quick shots. I still have to 'clean up' the wires but it is all in and tested. Not in the photo is an electric fan and as soon as Holcomb gets one in stock a Canton radiator overflow tank.

New intake and Canton polished valve covers just in today. Finally cleaning out the parts bin! A couple more parts to install and put back on and time to rephoto the car. The valve covers are a bit hard to see in this shot.

Just a peek at what I have been up to lately. New seats, read seat delete and Schroth harnesses. Not quite done yet, the new letters have to go in and sone other finish work. I'll finish it after pollen season and if you live in the south you know what I mean.

Between Dapacks blog and a comment given to one of the judges I have to wonder ....the riddle part here......... Why have your stang classified and either not have JFO's turned on or be suprised you get challenged?

Not ready to JFO don't get classified.

I always thought the point was to encourage members to go out and display the car.

Lost a JFO for lack of photos, go take some.

There is no such thing in a JFO as an easy win. There are prepared members and unprepared members. You had to ASK to be classified.

So Nay and Riddick are in a face off I think we should all go and vote. Nice to see Nay make the challenge, there has been a bit of talk in the blogs about this. I think though Nay since you ranked me a 5 I should be next, after all I should be easy pickings right? That 70mm throttle body mod with the stock intake (62mm opening) ought to kick ass compared to my thing in the engine bay.

Yeah what is that? I don't know lets see who take your engine bay over mine.

A new steering wheel and seat covers for the notch. Can't leave out the GT so it gets new floor mats. I like the all black seat covers, I need to find one for the rear seat. The black seat covers make the porno red 70's fox interior tolerable lol.
