ok, so my stang runs a little hot on long road trips after high rpms for a long period of time...it doesn't overheat, but the longer I drive...the hotter it keeps getting.
I have no problems even driving an hour or so; but after a few hours..
anyway, I plan to upgrade the radiator and the clutch fan, but I'm trying to keep a budget (which I blew already this year) so; what will get more more cooling upfront...a double row brazed core radiator...or an electric fan? -I have the stock radiator now (it's only 1 year old) and a 20 year old clutch fan...which spins but I have no idea if it's even working the way it should...I suppose it is since it does suck/blow particles so I know it's working to some degree anway (I really have no idea how clutch fans work...so I guess if it's spinning then it's probably spinning the correct force? )
back to the question...long road trips
radiator...or electric fan...what will help more short term.
I want to drive my stang to detroit again this year, and if end up overheating again I'll get pretty pissed off. (last year I was missing my deflector at the bottom..so that's fixed..but it's not quite enough in my opinion)
