1999 Marks only the second time Ford produced a limited production Mustang honoring an Anniversary! The 35th Anniversary Mustangs were produced in a Coupe (P42) and Convertible (P45) all on the GT platform. All Anniversary editions were produced with a special Black and Silver (YW) interior.The convertibles were made with a black top (AA), except for the ultra white (ZR) models, which could be ordered with a white top (WW). The 4,628 35th Anniversary Editions produced were only available in 4 colors. Performance Red (ES), Ultra White (ZR), Silver Metallic (YN), and Ebony (UA). Production began on December 8th 1998 and ended on August 2nd 1999. This silver limited edition convertible was manufactured on April 6th, 1999 along with 2 others exactly like it and 39 others made that day. It is one of 378 Total Silver, Automatic, Convertibles, it was the 2,142th unit made. 2,649 of 4,628 have 4Speed Automatic Transmissions (U). 1,259 of 4,628 have Silver paint (YN) and 2,310 of 4,628 were convertibles (P45) (AA). |

Dearborn, Mich., April 17, 1999 - They met 35 years ago at the New York World's Fair, and the courtship between Americans and the Ford Mustang has been going strong ever since.
Ford permanently changed the course of the American auto industry when it introduced Mustang, because this car had the attributes of a sports car yet remained simple and offered value for the money.
The latest evolution of Mustang still has the touches of its ancestor, but with a new design and powertrain and handling enhancements. These include significant power increases for the Mustang V-6 and V-8 engines, a new exterior design and, for the first time on Mustang, an optional traction control system.
Special 35th Edition:
In celebration of this event, all 1999 Mustangs will display exterior badging and special pony seat embroidery. A limited number of 35th anniversary packages of exterior and interior enhancements will be offered on Mustang GT coupe and convertible.

My Pony with the funky wheels I bought it with! I bought her a bit abused, driven 5 years in the snows of Michigan...with Blizzak snow tires and 16" wheels, *which I am trying to sell!*...6 months later, I got her original pony wheels back and got some Eagle Goodyear Performance tires back on her...She now gets safely stalled for the Michigan Winters and then I break out my Isuzu, Amigo 4x4 to go two tracking in the woods..
