If you are in NEW ORLEANS or the surrounding area and need a performance shop stop by www.outlaw-performance.com and register in the forum

My car started out stock as can be then I bought my car in November of 2005. I was happy with it the way it was, as it turns out the mod bug hit me and I began to plan for upgrades, because you can not just start buying thing and hope you like the end results. I decided to build a street strip car with the ability to compete in boat auto cross and drag racing, on the streets the car would need to maintain drivability and still hook on New Orleans roads, no that I race on the streets but in case I need to move fast in an emergency, well I tell my wife that to comfort her.

Because of hurricane Katrina I thought that the mods would be few and far between but I was wrong, because of insurance and other contributing factors I now have the funds to do what I wanted to with my car and I don’t have to wait for years to do it!

I started with the suspension; the stock was

in need of some TLC so in went with the eibach sportline spring with AGX 8 way adjustable shocks all around. I did the work in my drive war and even with the proper tools I would not do it any time soon.

Then came the exhaust I was planning for a supercharger but after doing the math and research, long tube headers were not worth the installation time or the cost so I went with the standard; a MAC PROCHAMBER off road mid-pipe and Flowmaster’s American thunder cat back system. The car now sounded like a beast and looked like one, two inches makes a world of difference in both looks and handling.

Wile waiting for my Kenne Bell 1.7 supercharger I orders gears (3.73), a clutch (Centerforce dual friction), and many other “little things” that will truly make this car an animal on the road and track. On January 8th 2006 I received the my most expensive shipment yet, $5,011.50 to be exact, and to make the deal even sweeter they gave me a military discount AND they sent me the big tube kit (4” intake, 90mm MAF and a switch chip) for free thanks to a part number mix up that delayed my shipmen a couple of days. Now I am just waiting to but the final pieces together and take her for a spin, until then I’m just planning the Fn Ford Weekend events that I am going to.
