other than the 98 i rebuilt this is my first real project. Ran at the track with 3 burnt plug wires and had a 60ft of 1.34 and a time of 15.01 at 102mph. its an 86 t-top lx that was originally a 5.0 auto. i bought it as a roller with nothing done to it. the car is completly solid which was surprising after owning my 88 gt that was a rust bucket that ended up being scrapped.

mods include

8 point cage

subframe conectors

adjustable shocks

3.73 gears

2 inch lowering springs

aftermarket rear control arms

275/50/15 nitto 555r tires on welds

front end converted to 87-93 susspension

driveshaft loop

fully built 306

head work

converted to mass air

short throw shifter

those are all the basics the list goes on but im not going to take the time to list ever little engine part. everything is forged and balanced.  put down 379hp and 411ftlbs of torque. not bad for being 18-19 when i built it.

Thanks to all who gave me advise on what to do with the sensor. Apparently it worked. The check engine light has not come on at all. I even bought the Chilton Manual to make sure I did everything right. Thanks everyone.

Hey Fro,

I need some help with a little problem I have. My check engine light came on, and I ran diagnostics on it and it came back with P0401. So I replaced the EGR Valve and found out that wasn't the problem. Now I get a P0402 and I think I have it narrowed down to the pressure sensor but I need some one to confirm that for me. What do you think?

If you've already done the EGR valve, the DPFE pressure sensor is the next likely culprit
