1987 Mustang GT | updated: Feb 12th 2007 @ 09:04 PM |
This is my little weekend toy, my 1987 GT hatchback.
So far I have about 44k miles on the car, and only take it out on sunny days. I've owned this car since November 2003, and try to take the best care of it that I can.
Modifications to my car include:
3.73 gears
Granatelli Weight Jacker Lower Control Arms (soon to be swapped out with stock LCAs and adjustable traction bars because I don't like the current setup)
AOD Shift Kit
MAC Shorty Headers
Midpipe
Edelbrock Cat-Back Exhaust
Removed Air Silencer (for what it's worth)
Underdrive Pulleys (for what they're worth as well)
BFG Drag Radials 235/60/15 for the track.
Future install plans to this include Maximum Motorsports Weld-in Subframe Connectors, Lakewood Traction Bars as I've mentioned above, 2500-3000 rpm stall converter with lock up, GT-40 Iron heads off of a 94 Cobra, Explorer Upper and Lower Intake, and hopefully a cam to run with a speed density set up.
My best run in the 1/4 mile currently stands at 14.4 @ 97 mph on 225 width street tires.
More to come soon hopefully!
