After a subscription to 5.0 Mustang and a trip to the NMRA in Joilet the "wants & have to haves" started the transformation. Of course tax time had breathed life back into the project. The car had a AODE transmission which was about shot so a T-5 was the next on the agenda. So the Skipper said "we can do this" so once again to EBAY I went for all the bits and pieces (a list as long as my... well ok not mine) and up she went for major surgery

Since I had gotten this far i figured I might as well finish off a few other wants, so an H pipe and a 2 1/2 cat back kit with flowmasters were put on, "and while it's up there we might as well put a 3.55 ring gear in" said the skip ,so we did.
"But wait" I said, you can't have a 5 speed without a Pro 5.0 shifter, so I got one of those too.
Off to the track we went to see what she would do, an 1/8 mile nestled in the middle of the corn down south. Havana an age old track (my dad used to run there when he was a kid) where anything with wheels could run.

After a few runs and losing every one I decieded this wasn't the car for the track so for show it'll be. |
