Us in MB/SC, it was HOT, HOT, did I say HOT.
Now my story:
This is my 3rd Mustang I have owned. My first car was a 1968 Coupe, gold with black stripes and 289 auto. I modified it with Magnum 500's and 70 R 14 Goodyear raised letter tires (remember them). I got ran off the road and when time came for the repair, I began to modify the look. I put black stripes on the hood, blacked the rear taillight deck, added the "C" stripe on the side and put fog lights in the grill to simulate the GT version. The motor was upgraded to sport a edelbrock aluminum intake, Holley 600cfm 4 barrel and duel "glass pack" exhaust. My second car was a 1966 Red Coupe, 200 CID auto with Pony Interior that I left stock.
I saw this car and it took me back to my youth. The overall design, and interior reminded me of my '68. I began to read about the new car and go to several web sites. I found the mustang source and was intrigued as to what every one was doing with the new Mustang. In a few months, I could order a 2006, so I set about trying to decide what direction I wanted it to take. I was told that I only own red or black cars (to be true I do). I was always in love with the Shelby GT 350H. I decided to go that route with some cues from the '67 Shelby. I want it noted that I made my car into a Shelby Hertz replica before anyone else thought of it. Anyway, here she is the day after I drove it home.
Ford gave me a good palet to work with. No your eyes are not playing tricks on you, in the first picture, there is a spoiler. The dealer goofed and ordered one with a spoiler, so when It came in, we swapped out the trunk for one without a spoiler. That is why my car has a V-6 faux gas tank emblem. I preferred it over the GT one. Now to start to work.
