I just had the car retuned because i popped both head gaskets, and while it was down I put on stock rebuilt heads and an E-cam in the motor. The new numbers are 368hp at 5000 rpms and 421tq at 4000 rpms. At 5000 rpms the blower is pushing 10lbs of boost but power falls off after 5000 even though there is 12lbs at 5500 rpms. The most that I can figure is that the stock heads are choking up. So now Im looking for new heads. Now if I can run atleast 1 full pass at the track I should have a good idea of the cars potential. I have'nt gotten a roll bar yet and Im not sure if I like the way they look on verts so the drag strip may be a thing of the past with this car.

I lable my cas as a semi-sleeper becasue i dont spend to much on cosmetics, not that i have any problems with that. Its just that with a wife, 2 kids , and a house my extra money has to go to what counts for me. Thats the most power that I can afford. The wheels are the first cosmetic parts that Ive bought for the car in the 5 years I owned it. So besides the wheels it still looks pretty stock.

When the car was (NA) I had a bucnh of used bolt ons on it. GT-40 INT,70mm TB,75mm MA,pullies, elect fan, crane HI-6,BBK unequal shorties,BBK cat. h-pipe,flowmasters,3:73 gears, pro 5.0 shifter,Nitto drag radials. With a good tune the car made 247hp & 290tq on a dynojet dyno. My best 1/4 mile time was 13.52 at 101.76 with a 1.95 60ft. Pretty good for a stock long block with over 100,000 miles.

Now I have bought a powerdyne 6psi. supercharger. I upgraded to a 90mm lightning mass air,and 42lb. injectors. I havent had the car tuned yet but im hoping for about 310hp at the wheels and mid 12's. I am starting with 6psi. because the car is kind of high milage and it is also my daily driver. Need to keep it healhty.

I also fabbed up this inlet pipe so that there would be a full 4" of flow from the filter to the charger. For the cost of the pipe, the silicone reducer, and the welding it was all less than 60 bucks. The tuner said it should be a huge step up from the dryer vent that came with the charger.

I just had my car tuned at York Dyno in Pa. Will KIlgore is the owner and tuner. ( www.yorkdyno.com ) He uses a Mustang Dynamometer to tune on. On his dyno the car made 264hp.& 300tq. at the wheels. The air fuel ratio was between 11.8 and 12.4 the whole time. On a Dyno jet that like 305hp & 350tq.

I finally went to the track with the charger on and was warned about the 13.49 roll bar rule for verts because i dont have one. So i just ran the 1/8 mile at first. My best was a 8.18/ 85.56mph/1.82 60ft. That converts to about a 12.6 in the 1/4. As the night went on it was obvious my rear was shot as I was only doing 1 leggers in the burn out box. So I figured what the hell.... I ran a full pass knowing i would probrably get tossed. So with my open rear I ran a 13.01/ 108.88/ 2.01 60ft. I wish I would have just ran a full pass the first time down the track and i would have a 12 sec. slip.

Well I had to have a new motor built becauss I cracked the stock one. I was upto around 400 rwhp on a 120,000 mile stock short block.

My new motor is a Dart 347 stroker built by RNH Performance. It has a forged bottom end 9.0:1 comp. TFS TW heads, EFI Victor 5.0 intake, FTI cam, 70mm TB, 90mm MAF, and 42lb inj., and some parts off my old motor.

Im waiting for warmer weather to put it in. In the meantime Im sending my car to CD Race Cars for a roll cage. I hope to have the car ready for the track by spring time. In a year or two I will be putting boost to the motor.
