i was running into problems with my old OBDI computer handling everything i was throwing at it. the car was running a little funky. i was faced with two choices:

1. upgrade my computer system to a performance engine management system like F.A.S.T. not a very cheap option, but very effective. however, i would still have to take the car to someone else for tuning since my hubby and i are not experienced computer tuners.

2. remove all the computer stuff and place control of the engine in my husbands oh-so-competent hands. not a very cheap option either, but nonetheless very effective. my hubby can tune a carb in his sleep which means we no longer have to pay someone else to tune my car. i got a wideband O2 and a laptop so we can monitor and track performance and then my hubby can make any necessary tweaks.

driveability should remain about the same... there is always some give and take when it comes to completely changing engine management like this, but compared to the way she was running, it has to be better! lol

yes, she will still be my daily driver. lol
