Starting Situation.

Ok so i have this problem. Heres the deal. When i go to start my car when it is cold like the first time of the day, it starts fine, fires up the first time i turn the key. Then if i  drive somewhere and go inside and go to start it, sometimes it just makes this buzzing noise or like this noise that sounds like a vacuum cleaner turning on. It will just make this noise no more than three times when i turn the key and then eventually turns over and starts. Is it my starter or my solenoid or something else? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks - Keith

stang man 92 it sounds like your starter solenoid is going bad . it sounds like the starter is not engaging the starter  hope this helps .

I had a similar problem but mine was not the solenoid, It was the starter relay that the battery and starter wires hook up to on the right fenderwell if you are looking at the motor.  There was enough of the ground  that was broken which  could not be seen until I took it apart.  Weird thing was I could start it somethimes and turn it off then nothing.  Frustrating.  I guess the vibrations and what not allowed it to make a better conection everyonce in awhile.  Changed it and I have not had the problem since.
