I am gathering info to submit to J on how to make The Car Show interesting to everyone.  What would it take to get you started or interested in Casting your VOTE in the Car Show????    I have added a few here to start off with:
 
1.  Allow points to be given for voting like the hunt claims
2.  Add more categories for the Classes, especially the older ones
3.  With more categories, less nominees needed
4.  OR do away with # of nominees needed all together - Use a cut-off
     date for submissions instead
5.  Make Voting easier!  Setup like the Hunts & cast your vote at the 
     bottom of each page instead of after each Category for that particular 
     Class
6.  Allow smooth transition from one Class to another, instead of having to
     go through the toolbar to have the page reloaded after each vote
     submissions.  Make more User friendly

Looks like Nicoleb3x3 has a good point about the nominees, I am thinking 5 minimum, that seems fair, maybe 10 Max.
