New Toy and Projects

updated: Nov 16th 2007 @ 08:53 PM
16 Nov 07  installed new gears and upper and lower control arm.

Here is my brand new chrome alternator.   Going to add lot more bling to the engine bay.

Here is the new torque converter and transmission from BC-automotive.  The new converter is a 4000 RPM stall triple disk.  You can see the size difference between my old stall.  This stall can handle lock up shifts, my old one would have destroyed itself if I did that.

The transmission is built and can with stand over 600 rhwp.

Herre are some of my 8 rib pulleys that will be going on.  When one wants to push over 18 lbs of boost an 8 rib is needed, a 6 rib would just slip to much.

31 May 07,

New rims arrived and the front two are mounted.  I would mount the rear as well, but damn 18" tires are expensive.  So below are pics of the front.

15 May 07,

New Upper Control Arms, from Kevin Slaby at baseline suspensions.  These are what the ulimate control arm is.  It took me three years to decide between these or Team Z.

 14 May 07,
New radiator came in today, nice polished two core

Fitting of the Saleen rear bumper 8 April.

Here you also see the chrome fender pieces are gone.

New front bumper installed on 20 March.

back from the machine shop.

Manley 1.94 and 1.55 exhaust valves.
Manley dual springs, lots of pressure
Extra porting done as well.

Just received a different lower intake that was sent of to the kind people that extrude and hone.  Ports are bigger then my old one.

Since I'll be pushing about 18 lbs of boost on the street I need to make sure the heads stay on.  Here are some ARP head studs.

These just showed up on 26 Feb 07

Now that I'm back the moddng has begun.

Removed the heads to get bigger valves installed again.

Here are a few more goodies that just showed up.

This is a Tial 50mm blow-off valve, should be big enough to get rid of the 16lbs I'll be pushing.

Here is the cam, also known as the heart of the engine.  By looking at the cam card this cam is a lot bigger then my current one.

Just received the piping for the intercooler.  Piping is 3" in diameter and came with t-clamps and high temp silicone adapters.

Here is the intercooler.  Measures 31x12x4 with 3" inlet and outlet.  That should cool the air a good bit.

I have just bought some 3.55 gears and a chrome upper radiator hose to get rid of that blue thing I have.

Here is the new Detroit Truetrac, lot beefier then the stock T-lock unit.

Here is my new supercharger being test fitted.  This will be the first V6 with a Novi 2000 installed that I am aware of.

No space between the radiator and inlet.  I'm going to have to move the radiator in about one inche.

Hey folks, I was wondering if someone out there with an 88-93 Fox convertible could do me a favor.  I am looking for a picture of the of the ‘A’ pillar post window weather strip showing the weather strip and inside trim molding (the molding on the inside of the pillar post) and another detail picture of where the pillar post molding meets the door seal molding.  I am redoing this and need an example – my car was repaired long before I purchased it and they kind of did a ‘custom’ job on this area.  I want it to be right this time.

Thanks,

Tim

I appreciate the offer but I am trying to get this wrapped up for a show this weekend so not time for a visit.  I think I have my anser though.  Found out the re-man parts are different than stock.  Not the best answer for originality but it will work.  Thanks for the offer.
