The Interior of the vehicle had actually been pretty well maintained. Of course there were the endless hours of dissambly and detailing as well as rebuilding all the power accessories while I had it a part.

Here is a picture of the interior when I purchased the project.

As you can see it is very very very very grey. It kind of annoyed me that everything was mismatched grey (sun fade) and the there was that black dash. My plan was to bring more black throughout as I cleaned the inside up.

All the floor mats were replaced with black husky liners. Not the prettiest thing, but It is wet washington. The back seat was recovered with a polyester faux suede, and the front seats recieved seat covers of identical material. Normally I would not use seat covers on a car that did not see extreme service, but I have a kid and removing and washing seat coverings is a hell of a lot easier than getting stains out of upholstery.

Next I pulled the back speakers and repainted the rusty grate's black to match.

Then there was the door panels. In places the vinyl had pulled back from the edges, and the little pouch thing at the bottom of the door was in shreds. I pulled these and re-stretched and glued the vinyl. Then I removed the pouches as well as the carpeted insert and covered the areas with black duck cloth.

The latest project involved eliminating all of that damn green and orange instrumentation lighting. I pulled all of the gauges and instruments and customized them so I could have all blue and red. I did this on a 3$ budget  For full details follow the link.

Well I suppose it is about time that I added a couple of pictures to this showing the interior as it has progressed. I believe the items were mentioned above as they were done, but I never added the photo's. As you can see the general idea was to add a bit of black throughout the vehicle to try and blend some of that all too present grey with the dark top and exterior. I still have a few things to do such as adding the black carpeting and I would like a set of Corbeau seats in black. Likely some of their nicer ones that look more like OEM than race seats. Then I would like to add a bit of billet to the switches to blend in with the future B&M Hammer shifter.....But enough.............. here is where we were at today after the fun of changing all of my door hinge bushings while my daughter cleaned up the interior.

Several small things have been done on the inside but shy of painting steroe and carpet it is hard to see \"smile\"
