Hey I'm in complete agreement! This place kicks a$$ The knowledge Ive gained, the help Ive gotten, I know I cant put too much into the mustang right now, but with the help I have gotten on here, when it does come time to get serious I already know where to go, and what to do! And oh yeah the prizes are awesome too! lol Thank you Tony! So I say raise your glasses to this place! Hopefully I can add a lot of how to's and things as I build the mustang, and maybe some truck mods along the way, but thats my secret project, hehehe!

Yep, I agree. This site is and has always been different than the rest. J  has worked hard to keep it that way too. It did used to be booming though in comparison. I used to be on here 8 hours a day. Now I come on and run out of things to reply to, or do in about 15 mins. Pretty much all sites have died like that though. Especially ones that are designated to one type of vehicle. I dont think it really has anything to do with GS itself.

Start spreading the word. Print and handout some of the flyers in the "extra's" section. Stick them uder people wipers in the mall parking lot, ect. Thats the only way to get it back I believe. Oh, and reinstall the chat room damn it. You tore down my house. lmao

 I am working on a few things...   chat will be one of them....Lots of work to do, trying to free up some time.

I use to be here every day for many, many hours putting in the time on the site. But change of work, financial funds and basically my time and getting heavy into photography has taken away my time here. GS is a great car site and  fun place to hang out. It could be again.    Right now it's just me on the site, but a few years ago when people had the money to spend on their cars and sharing their thoughts 50 people would be on gs.   Spread the word.

I use to be able to spend my entire work day in and out of chat with GS. That was fun.  Can't do that in this job. 

I've noticed....like right around tax refund time...people are more active with the mods' posts.... I had to give up any more mods on the shelby so we could build the Swindle...I'm thrilled how it turned out...so I don't think I'll be doing any more mods except maybe upgrade to an onboard Android for internet on the move... i'm happy with the mods i already have on it anyway...runs 12's on 20 inch panthers spinning halfway down the track LOL! Which reminds me... i need to take Swindle to the track this summer just to see what it'll do... 

Still here just doing a few minor things and terrorizing the local sites.

I'm still here but not much to say. All I really do is go to car shows and hang w/my local club, and I posted a ton of pics last year to share everything. Not much going on car-wise this winter for me.

I agree! We need to build this site back up! I think the flyer thing is a great idea. We all notice the stangs in parking lots, (at least I know I do) so why not stick a flyer on the windshield. If we all do our part this winter by the spring we will be rock'n again! 

better yet, instead of flyers that get wet when it rains...why not small coin sized peel off stickers that simply say "gotstang.com" with a smiley ...simple...sticky....slaps on windshield in a second.....i know a guy who owns a sticker shop....can get a hundred for about 30 bux.

Tony who dont you know??!! lol Yer like the mob...we all see the awesome end result but we just aren't sure how the crap you pulled it off!! I agree about the sslow down of GS and I also agree it has nothing to do with the site changing in some way....It's just the evolution of things. When I found GS, I (as many of you) had more time and money so I was eager to post all my happenings. Now, another kid later ( and a hell of alot less money), I find my self tied up to different projects that aren't auto related and the GT is nestled away in a dark cold garage with nothing but a bunch of junk and a '66 chrysler for company!!! Alas, spring is nearly upon us and maybe with some prompting from all our GS friends we will get more active in posts.......time will tell

 I do miss the glory days. Happened when their was an article published in MM&FF about the site if I recall. That Is what got me into the site. Everyone needs to just get off their ass's and hop on every once and awhile. Use the features that gotstang.com has to offer.

What really made this place shine was the activity this place had.  You had a free web page to set up your pics of your ride, the tourneys, the photo hunts, etc.  One of the things I do remember getting out of hand was the judging. Whether it was a face-off, tourney, or photo hunt. there was a lot of bias judging, and cliquing going on, not to mention the occasional mis-classification. 

You can't please everybody, especially considering everyone has their own preferences and dislikes. It's unfortunate that it gets to ridiculous heights at times, but that's life. Shrug and move on.
