I have two people to blame for this. One is SQUID aka Jim Bunch. A dear friend that I met in the Navy over 20 years ago and my dear wife Shirley.
I took a trip to Texas in July of 2006 to see the SQUID and buy a saddle for my wife's horse. He took me to a car show with his 03 Black Vert where I met a lot of awesome people and saw some really awesome Stangs. Having had several Stangs many years ago this show just awoke the BUG again.
Shortly after arriving home I drove by the Ford Dealer and eyed this Orange car at the end of the Mustang line. I wondered if it had a V8 in it but other errands had to be done first. Later that afternoon I took my wife out to eat and told her that I had something to show her. We drove to the Dealership and I immediately looked at the window sticker and sure enough it had a V8 and 5 Speed. The salesman let me take this beauty for a ride and at about 2 miles down the freeway I knew I had to have this. We went home that night and while watching TV I asked her what she thought about the car. She said, " I think you should get that".
By noon the next day I had traded my 2003 Ranger in and owned Grabber. I really wanted this car because it represented the color of the Boss 302 that I had always wanted. So I thank SQUID for taking me to the car show and for my wife for saying yes. By the way .. She thought I was kidding when I showed her the car but now she loves it as much as I do.
And if you haven't figured out where the name came from it's because the car color is Grabber Orange.
