Well, I cruise the local Sonic, DQ and other local burger joints on the weekends as often as I can. Several high schoolers in the area do as well. Some are just cruising by looking for something to do, others hang out with friends. Anyway, there are a few kids that have been coming over to talk with my family about the car and stuff. I have even seen them at some of the local car shows and at Beach Bend Drag strip. They have become regular "posse" staying close to the car at shows and hanging with us at the hot spots. Before school started, one of the girls in the group was sitting on the tailgate of her buddy's pick up when we pulled up to DQ. We talked a while and I could tell she had something on her mind. She kept hinting at something, finally I got it out of her. She wanted to ask if she could have her Senior picture taken with my car but was afraid to ask. Not only did I say she could but I told her I'd let her drive it too. Some weeks later she called and asked if I was serious, I said yes and she set a schedule to get the pics made. I went and picked her up and she had a huge grin as I handed her the keys. I warned her it had no PS but she didn't care. She drove it like an old lady being very carefull but she was excited. Just the other day she called and said she had something for me, we all piled in the Stang and headed to her house. Here and her mom gave us a professionally made photo "book" and a picture to frame (the pic that would be in the yearbook). It was really fun to see her so happy and surprised that I let her use the car. When talking with her mom, she said she had a date coming up, I told her if she keeps being cool I'd let her take it to her prom! She about fell over! Here are a couple pics...
one I took while the photographer shot some pics:
The yearbook shot:
the photographer's name was Shelby, she even asked if she could take pics of the car for herself!
