I put quarter panels, floorboards, fenders, etc. on it in the early 90's.
My wife got tired of the "beater" look, so in 2005 we primed it all one color. Grey.
In 2006 I put the Eleanor nose on...
After enjoying the car in primer, we finally decided it should get painted. Off to the body shop to get it ready. While there we decided to replace the frame rails and trunk floor which was looking weak.
old frame rails started to split so we cut them out and put in new ones.
After finishing the rear, we tore the front suspension off and started blasting the front. More rust! So we cut it out.
After getting the frame rails replaced, we could start on fitting the rest of the fiberglass.
Also added some sub-frame connectors.
Painted the steering column while it was out.
Unlike the Eleanor Movie car, I wanted to use the 67 Shelby grille with the inboard lights.
.
I had to fill the notches in the Maier glass that were for the driving lights in the lower grille opening since I wouldn't be using them.
