ok, so as I've solved larger problems like the tranny and surging (now solved)
I looked into the ticking exhaust leak...at the headers.
The bolts kept loosing up, so I got better gaskets and new specialzed bolts w/ a clip that prevent backing out.
so, after installing the new gaskets and bolts....guess what...the leak is still there!!!
Upon closer inspection you can see where the 4 tubes come together at the weld, there is small holes! dammit, these headers are defective from the factory. wtf
so; I needed to arrange for new replacement headers this time I'm going with a different brand.
and....while I'm already stuck doing this crap again, why not get an x-pipe?
at least make it worth all the hassle!
...the budget for year has been blown away by 3 times the original amount planned!
screw the budget when I got the annoying ticking sound and I can't appreciate my flowmasters!
