AOD overhaul -yay it's like Christmas

	651 Views So; this week I dropped of the stang to a tranny shop (not the one I delt with before) to rebuild my AOD. The AOD was used from the donor car and had 80k miles on it. I knew it would need a rebuild within one year given the bad history of AODs. But, since driving my 302 for the first time, I confirmed OD was burnt up and slipping like crazy. -again I knew I would likely need a rebuild but was hoping to get one season out of it. so; I called today for an update, and he said the company did not send the right shift kit, and not the high performance shift kit he asked for; so the company is resending the right one for them to use tomorrow. I'm glad this guy cared enough about the job to not use the lower end shift kit and hold out of the right one. (he should anway being they give a 2 year warrantee) so, I can't wait; this tranny will be better than stock and I'm viewing it as a last minute upgrade rather than a repair
