Can the judges just judge the JFOs........

blog Monday, July 14, 2008 @ 10:00 PM

.....and refrain from personal comments.  My opinion is that if someone is classifified and have the JFOs enabled then they are willing participants.  If these members are not up to the standards and have them turned on then it is the job of the classifiers to de-class these Stangs.

Why is it that I take someone on who has their JFOs turned on I get blasted by the judges, when in fact I have seen one of these judges do the same thing I was just blamed for?
"YsOffcr, as a regular person I need to tell you picking guys with websites like this is a low blow even for you."  What does this mean?? Since when have the judges started to insult people? BS! Judge the stangs and keep your opinions about the members to yourself.
"If your going to drag me into a judged face-off please make it worth everyones time." The same judge just keeps the insults coming....
"frankly I don't know how to judge this one fairly or make any comments"  Here's my answer: Don't and turn your judging off.
"Hmmmmm I expect better from Ys to stoop low for an easy win like this." ......And the hits just keep coming.
"I like tonys exterior enough to give it to him out of pity,... "  Not only does he insult me but stoops low enough to insult Mstangtony. Nice job.
"Overall YsOffcr in a not close one. Tony has been declassified." I'm glad you finally used your abilities as a classifier and de-classed someone who doesn't meet the new requirements for the JFOs.
"Since Mstangtony isn't even classified and from the looks of his site I can see why then Ys gets the pathetic win." ....and the finishing blow of insults. BTW he was classified when I challenged him.
On a positive note, I would like to thank the judges for judging this one quickly and not making everyone one wait the normal 10 day waiting period.

Also, I think you should probably leave it at giving the JFO to you regardless... seems like they were still doing their job to me. Just saying.....

I have to agree with Finny though the people that classify cannot possible be held accountable for review everyone on the websites site, its juts not possible or a good use of their own time seeing as they do this out of the goodness of their hearts anyway. I definetly wouldnt call it cheating, but I think we need to all respect the fact that some of our cars out do others by a wide margin and it isnt fair to anyone to challenge them in a faceoff regardless of whether they are classified or not.

Jul 15th, 2008 @ 10:04 PM

and the whole car show analogy doesnt really make sense considering you dont pick who you face in a regular car show youre up against what comes, there maybe better cars there may not. If I got to pick who I competed against in real life Id have a lot more trophies I know that!

Sorry Im adding a third post in a row to tthis, but since im thinking about it. I think that since the classers only really find out if people maintain their sites after they have been challenged in a face off I think that if the judges decided that one of the people in the faceoff needs to be declassified the faceoff should instantly be closed and become null and void. Just my .02

I like what 95 says about a judge having the ability to cancel a JFO if the judge is going to declassify a car for lack of pics or whatever. Maybe J can make that a judges option.

Jul 15th, 2008 @ 11:40 PM

So what I used a loop hole.... The judges are here to judge the cars not what or who I pick to face off and to take it as an avenue to insult other members on this site.

Jul 15th, 2008 @ 11:42 PM

By the way your talking finny and avoiding the point I would say that you were one of the Judges.

Jul 15th, 2008 @ 11:50 PM

Two of he judges figured out one to go...... Thanks for hiding my comment so quickly.

There are 2 issues at hand.   Why are the judges bashing on people who create the JFO.  Why are there people in the JFO who have sold their car or donot have all of the appropriate information?

Does anyone have resolutions to suggestions on how to keep this from happening? I can code anything into the system to fix any issues.  Please recommend something?

Maybe after 6months from classifications, the car becomes un-classified, and must be re-classified...

I can change the point rule and just make it so everyone has to accept the faceoff.

Jul 16th, 2008 @ 10:00 PM

I still believe that if the judges find one person to not have the required pictures the f/o should be cancled no points one or lost. People are adding and subtracting pictures all the time its impossible for the judges to keep up.

I think more people will be doing tournaments with prizes becoming available. IE the trophy tourny.  Some of the tournaments following the trophy tournament will involve cash prizes... 50-100$.. and smaller ones for shirts/decals...

Jul 20th, 2008 @ 2:35 PM

If the user doesnt accept/decline after 2 days it automatically starts the JFO.. that works for me. Way to think outside the box jhighers

Dang, you on this stuff or what. I just sent that and you responded quick. Anyway hope I did not stir the pot.
