Hey everyone, I could use a little help.I'm installing my Auto Meter cobalt gages, ? On a 2005 mustang does anyone know which wire to tap into dash lighting, and which wire maintains power during engine cranking. I know the wires on my gages,I just need to know which ones on the car.

not sure about an 05, but you can typically find the lighting wire behind the headlight switch....mine was a blue/white wire.

as for constant power, you should get a volt meter/multimeter and probe the wires you suspect is it.  I  dont remember what i used on my 99.

Thanks girlzGT!  In the instructions it says I need to find the 12v source that maintains power during engine cranking.this will be for my power for the gages  and the other is for the lights on the gages. James

1hot...your power outlet should have constant 12volt during crank.

I know that it needs the constant power ,just seeing if anyone knows which wires it is .without tracing it down?

just a node light figure out what has power by poking different wires..
I tapped into my fuses to do mine.  And they even dimm with the dash lights
