79-95 Smog Pump Elminator Bracket. This might be what you need to install.

just leave the smog pump & all smog equitpment on. if the smog pump is siezed, replace it. you wont gain any power by removing it & you will only hurt yourself come emmissions time or at some point when it will be needed by law on the car. it might seem like a good idea now but may not in years down the road. lots of people have ways around the smog equiptment issues but if DOT pulls you over & no smog or cats are on it, huge fine. you have to ask yourself, is it worth that? not to me. i like having the peace of mind that my car is legal & if ever put to the test by DOT, i leave them nothing to fine me over. just a thought but do what you like.

Leave it on there. 88Fox is right, and if you happen to move to another state you will need it. Hell, your state could change the laws next year and the smog crap will be needed.

thats exactly what happened in NH but i had the forsight to see that comming & left it all there so i didnt get hassled & so i could get an inspection sticker normally like everyone else. there was a time when i had an O/R H pipe w/ no cats but now i have a BBK catted X pipe. just trying to avoid headaches with the authorities.
