Thanks. Tough to come up with an idea that's not over the top or lame. Just don't do it this way if you decide to do something

LOL don't worry i wont copy

i will likely do the upper console design first...i want to move up the radio and use a touch screen type of set up- and moving the knobs to the bottom or find a way to delete them entirely

Almost done hiding the main harness behind the dash. I'm only chipping away at it 30-60 minutes at a time and not every day. One of those mini-projects was to route my self-test connectors under the dash so I can (if/when necessary) run codes without popping the hood and getting in and out of the car. There was also some 8-pin harness right in the same area (brown/orange-like plug) I can't recall the function of, which I had to length 3 feet (!!!) so I could get it back into the driver's side fender. I have that harness all made up and just have to route it in place and solder it back onto the main harness, then I'll be ready to put the dash back.

Looks like I'm going to need to touch up some paint in the back of the strut tower as well, so I'll add that to the list. On a side note, it looks like next winter I may decide to repaint the engine bay. That's what happens sometimes when you have parts in and out and in and out and in and out for various reasons. That's OK though, it'll allow me the opportunity to do a couple things differently than I originally did 7 years ago. Plus my future father-in-law runs a body & paint shop, so he will lead me on the project and shoot the paint (rather than me doing it again). The end result will be much better on that fact alone, so it' should easily be another pain-in-the-ass-but-worthwhile venture.

The brake booster won't go in until I touch up the paint in that area, and I will see if I can get that taken care of prior to the new master cylinder even arriving. It's on back order for up to another month from Summit.

Once all of that is handled and I find no electrical issues (God help me if I do) I'll be tearing the engine apart to powder coat, paint, and/or plate a few things.

Haha, nope. Everything will be all wired up by the weekend, and should be running as well. Hopefully I don't run into any issues!

Well I did run into an issue, but it is running now. I had a non-hot wire getting hot, causing the starter to engage/stick upon turning the key. That was easy enough to find and it's all fixed. It starts and idles like a champ now so this week I plan to start putting the dash back in place.

Sort of. It's just been a lot of back and forth. Because I have plenty of free time and chip at it on and off, it goes by more easily and quickly. If I were doing this in one shot I'd have lost my patience (but I'm bad with that anyway).

Pardon the dust and beat-up paint. It's going in for some engine bay paint touch-up in the spring. Here's the new shiny brake stuff:

she's a beauty Ozz.

You could sell the center console as customer item if you were able to create a mold for it and semi-mass produce it.
